About Denham Venom:

Denham Venom is the robotics team for Denham Springs High School and the DSHS STEM and Robotics Center.  We primarily compete in the FIRST Robotics Competition during the Spring Semester. FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) is an organization dedicated to inspiring people of all ages to appreciate the power of science and technology to change lives. Being a member of Denham Venom goes beyond simply building robots. It is also means engaging in Community Outreach through our local community, our state, our country, and the world.   

Mission Statement:

Denham Venom is a high-school based robotics organization that builds well-rounded, technology literate students with experience in both technical and soft skills including community outreach, computer science, machining, engineering, and business support.

 

Core Values:

The Core Values of Denham Venom are our central beliefs - the most important ideas that make us who we are as a team. Our Core Values motivate our words and actions towards our school, community, and each other.

 

Teamwork: Our team is more than a collection of students, mentors, teachers, and parents. We are a family - we believe in each other, watch out for each other, and help each other to succeed. A member of Denham Venom accepts, respects, and most importantly, enjoys each other’s company.

Excellence: At every build, competition, event, and award ceremony, we act to our utmost capability. A member of Denham Venom is motivated, passionate, hardworking, and persistent.

Community: The only way to change a community is to be a part of it. Our community is not just our school, our city, or our state. It is every place that our voice, our hands, and our hearts can reach.
